Tahid S. Barnes Parrish Educational Scholarship

The 2020 and 2021 Parrish Educational Scholarship Awards will be presented at the family reunion in St. Johns County, Florida.
Since our family reunions are held every other year, we will collect the names of those seniors who continue their education during the off years of the reunion.  
The scholarship goal is a five hundred-dollar ($500.00) award for each eligible applicant. If the fund is deficient, scholarships will be determined based on the amount of money given in contributions or raised from fundraisings, and the number of eligible applicants.  If we are to keep our family scholarship fund alive, we must continue to contribute to the fund.

 “Each One – Teach One”

One of the requirements to receive a scholarship award is the student’s commitment to reach back and help a relative prepare for college or post high school training once he or she has completed their own education.  This way, the family continues to help each other, and our children can see, by example, a positive lead and influence.
